10. What do you see people do at lunch?

1. Everywhere, because tips is so long so I have to be in every game.
2. Once we have more room it will definitely be easier. We will have more room for new games.

4. There was less people in a small space.
5. I basically eat while catching every game of tips.
6. Too many people in a small area and there isn't enough time. I can't do anything without stuff breaking. It's hard to move around.

Project innovation

Muhammad Khateeb

Project innovation

How do we use design and thinking throughout our lives?

We use design and thinking every second in our life.
The one obstacle while thinking and designing is how and will I make it. Another is also cost. A lot of people have incredible ideas and inventions that can change the world. They either can't fund it. Otherwise they are to scared or they don't think it is possible. If no one had to face these obstacles we would be having floating cars by now. We would literally have everything.

How did the innovator of the ostrich pillow and the life straw use design and thinking?

As I said before it isn't hard. We are all running the same ideas through our heads but it's hard because we don't know if it is basically non useful. Inventors basically go for it. They take the risk of being embarrassed. They take the risk of failing because they know that's all it takes to be successful as a inventor and just generally a human being.

Personal Impact

Did you meet a person that made an impact on you positive or negative? Please describe? Well, Dan the gardener is a fun guy. He is telling jokes constantly and always has a smile on his face. He makes sure is work and his co-workers have fun doing the job. I like the fact that he just goes with the flow and doesn't let anyone make his job boring. I also noticed he appreciates the nature so much. He will sometimes just sit there and admire it on his own ( when he is off the job ). Also Murry Tweety, I met him the today and he is a quiet guy according to everyone else. Everyone says he only talks when I'm here. I guess that made me feel good? I don't know. That was basically it it was a good day today.

Role

During coyote hills service learning we didn't do much besides pick weeds. Well, we finished that day and they gave us a deadline of 4 weeks for that. So I guess it is good that we beat the deadline by 4 weeks. Umm, so I guess they give us a non superior role. But I mean that's what we are. We are there workers so I am not expecting a high role of power. I had fun meeting most the rangers and naturalists. Dave will be taking care of us and showing us where to go. Matt is there boss which they seem not to like that much. But I didn't tell you anything ;)

Expectations

  Expectations

Honestly I am not excepting much, primarily because the work at Coyote Hills seems difficult and dull. Nevertheless, as my English teacher says, "Make the most of every moment, even if it seems benign." Listening to his advice, I feel like it's okay and I don't mind. From the looks of it sounds like I will be doing constant weeding, and I'm not looking forward to that. However, I feel that being outside will bring more positive energy. Inshallah it will be easy and fun. Next year, I just hope I get to choose my own service learning assignment. I look forward to working at children hospitals, retirement homes, and the like. That's something I can't wait to do!
